Location

The Waterfront Quays apartments, in Port Vila, is located in one of the most valuable places in Vanuatu. It is a very special location and will continue to increase in value.

The island of Efate (shown at right) is the capital island of the 84 islands of Vanuatu. The South Pacific trade winds blow from the South East and Port Vila is in the lee of the island.

The leeward side of Efate is known as "Marlin Highway" and serious deep sea fishers come from around the world to fish these waters. Port Vila is only 20 minutes by boat to this world-class fishing.

Location

Let's zoom in for a closer look at Port Vila. Iririki island is the tear-dropped shaped island right in front of Waterfront Quays. The panorama on the top of this page is taken from a cliff just behind the Waterfront Quays location. It also shows Iririki island surrounded by cruising yachts from around the world.

The protected anchorage behind Iririki island is one of six prime recreational yachting and sport fishing harbours in the South Pacific islands. Of the six harbours, the area behind Iririki island is arguably the very best recreational harbour in the South Pacific in terms of ease of access and proximity to world-class diving and fishing sites.

Another important feature of this location is that Iririki island protects the Waterfront Quays site from strong westerly winds and large seas that accompany cyclonic storms (hurricanes).

This unique natural harbour is always going to maintain it's value. There simply is no other location like it in the South Pacific islands.

Location

Zoom in a little closer and you'll see that Waterfront Quays is right next to - but not in - the central business district of Port Vila.

You won't need a car to get to shops or to the schools. There is a supermarket and village farmer's market just next to the words Port Vila in the photo at right, only a short walk down the main road.

Port Vila is really a very small place but it is Vanuatu's main city and so has everything you might need in a very small area.

Port Vila's main street is just behind the apartment complex. There is an office building (the Anchor House) located on the south (lower side of the image) and a small block of town houses to the right of the property.

Just on the other side of the Anchor House is the Waterfront Bar & Grill, one of Vanuatu's best loved restaurants. Beyond that is Yachting World, which caters to hundreds of visiting cruising yachts each year. Yachting World's marina complex is directly in front of the new site.

In addition to all these practical reasons why this location is one of Vanuatu's most valued properties, it's a very, very lovely place.

This little corner of paradise is quiet and relaxed, friendly and interesting, remote but easy to get to and enjoy.
